We participate in ICTexpo Helsinki 2012 -fair in Helsinki 18.-19.4.2012. For two days, ICTesxpo will gather 5 different trade shows under one roof at the Helsinki Fair Center.

The utilization of cloud computing services has increased in Finland more quickly than anticipated. One year ago one fourth of organizations were using cloud computing services, today the numbers have increased to encompass half the enterprises. The change is led by large organizations, where especially the use of software as a service has increased greatly.

The article discussess information security and data transfer in industrial systems. Specialists from the Finnish National Emergency Supply Agency, Aalto University and Prosys are beeing interviewed in the article. The article concludes that effective production needs real time data transfer, which has to be reliably excecuted. In addition the article includes information on an automation industry safety initative, in which automation security needs and procedures are researched and improved.

Product quality and traceability requirements are at a very high level at Valio, consequently efficient and reliable data transfer between different systems is crucial. To meet this need Prosys developed integration software between automation and manufacturing execution systems, based on the OPC UA standard.

According to a recent study conducted by Marketvision, 75% of companies are currently planning an ERP systems development project. Additionally, a quarter of the organizations are planning to replace their ERP by an entirely new system. Previous large round of ERP systems renewals was in the early 2000s.

Prosys has agreed to partner with Semat China Ltd, located in Shanghai. The first delivery of software has already been made to the petrochemical industry.

Marketvisio’s ICT Barometer gives a quick overview of the development of ICT spending in companies operating in Finland as well as in public sector organizations.

In April and May, Prosys surveyed customer needs and the factors affecting the selection of an IT partner in its customer companies. In addition we researched customer satisfaction in different Prosys service sectors and collected new ideas for service development and customer communications.

Prosys participated in Microsoft event for partner executives, where Finnish IT market forecast for this year was published. Microsoft continues to be a strong software product company, but at the same time it strongly increases investments to cloud computing.

Prosys has renewed server systems and at the same time switched over to a hypervisor technology that runs directly on server hardware (bare metal). This means that in the future Windows and Linux operating systems will not be used as host operating systems for virtualization, but only as virtualized application servers.

In 2009, printing house Helprint chose Prosys to be its production system development partner. By now, the work has produced a new solution for printing presses, which renews production data acquisition, monitoring and reporting.
